Having an Alaskan Gallery in the desert has been lots of fun... it is like an oxymoron! Summer is the slow season here, and I'm getting ready to do glass. There has been a lot of interest in my Reliquary Beads which are made with cremation ash. It is a beautiful way to remember that favorite pet or dear friend. This month I'll be at the "Kat's Meow" on Barnard St. here in Glen Rose, Texas!!
They have given me some space to show my work in their Antique store! We are going to try it for a month and see what happens.
They have plants in the spring and fall, right now the ladies need a vacation, and I need a place! It has been very interesting.
The building was built of the unique stone they find here and it is full of all kinds of old antiques, quilts and glass ware. Lots of them are from New England.

Moving to Glen Rose, Texas has been quite an adventure! I'm ready to take orders now, so don't hold back! These are pictures of my Super Bison Skull and Fossil Walrus Skull which have been in deep storage!
My Super Bison skull is huge and museum quality. It is 32 inches from curled shock to shock...15 inches from eye socket to eye socket. Our scientists tell us that the last one died 5,000 years ago. It can be yours for $38,000.
The Fossil Walrus skull is from a robust female, apricot colored, 16 inches long, 12 inches wide with tusks 26.5 inches long. Some of the teeth have fallen out but I have them all. The tusks are not glued in and it has not been altered in any way! The skull was suspended in the permafrost laying on it's side causing that side to be darker. Another museum quality specimen which could be yours for $42,000. It came from Nunaviac Island along with the Musk Ox skin you see, it is $7,000! The dog Spanky has a huge head as well but he is not for sale!!
Next .... I have found lots of Dinosaur footprints and "After" tracks at my site in Austin and here in Glen Rose. Some are really tiny, like a nickle!! They sell for $20 to $400 depending on size. The largest so far is nine inches wide by six inches deep. They are so interesting...you can see what the Dino stepped in as well! Some had dirty feet to start with... so far I have found about six different types...five toes with webbed feet, three squatty toes, three longer toes, some with two toes, some with heavy round toes, and some that look like they were walking on their arms or had really long heels. Some of the scientists say they may have been stalking, or who knows, maybe they had huge heel spurs!! You need some of these and they are a shippable size! Some of the tracks around here are four feet across!

Raw materials: whale bones, walrus jaw, whale ear-bones, ivory scrap, prehistoric muskox skull...a huge fossil walrus skull with tusks and teeth, at least 10,000 years old! Musk ox skin with hooves-full of Quiviet (super soft cashmere like wool).

Jacques and Mary Regat have come out with some new adorable bronzes. Mary has a black bear family "Ringo" $1,675 - $1,495 with a cub on his side, "Snickers" $1,675 - $1,495 a standing cub, and "Double Trouble" $4,575 - $4,050. She has captured the black bear spirit and form!
"Fatal Temptation" is a salmon chasing a lure over the waves, great for a fisherman!! $3,775 - $3,450 (will be coming out soon).
The newest piece, "North to Alaska" is of two humpback whales swimming. The patina makes them look like sunlight under water, the underparts of the flippers are creamy. The release price is $3,375 - $2,875 the pre-cast price is $2,975. It is 20" tall by 7.5" wide by 9" deep!
"Baptized in Water" shows what's going on above the water as two playful sea otters pop up out and dunk each other!! Great for a table top. Remember the jade piece we had in the gallery, it would be so perfect under them! The price is $6,500 - $5,875, the jade is $5,500.
The monument piece "Playmates" is complete! It is sensational, two sea otters are playing.... the piece is vertical, 46" tall by 36" long and 21"deep, and an edition of 25. The price is currently $22,750 - $20,700.

Something else, the current price of the silver directly affects "Chilkat Majesty", the pure silver eagle. It is $57,500, it should be more like $100,000 in the current market. There are only two cast.

The newest hearts are inspired by real quartz specimens. They're called "Quartzy Hearts" and feature nuggets and veins of real gold! Or be the first to get one of her new sparkling pink hearts.

When the gallery sold Cha changed "The Second Drawer" into "Cha's Glass Studio" in the alley behind the Red Dog Saloon in Juneau.
She is taking the old "Rag Doll" space and will turn it into a distribution center for both on line stores. The physical address is 245 Marine Way #11. It should be open by May. We have been moving, moving moving.
