Before the Storm

This is one of Shingledecker’s most dynamic bears. It rose from the forest mist and is emerging from the trees. What is he thinking? Will it turn and lumber gently away or is an attack required? A superb example of Shingledecker’s praised ability to create a highly detailed picture with soft and subtle strokes. Not only does he show us the teeth, claws, fur, and eyes of this bear but we can see its very breath.
