Fossil Gallery, Eye Membrane

These are all three the same specimen found by Carlyle and Jean in Illinois, just different angle shots. This is an eyelid with preserved skin and eyeball on the backside of the eyelid . It’s about 3 inches long and an 1.5″  wide. You can see the spherical membrane that PETRIFIED and was smashed . I don’t know the species. But this would have proteins and actual eye material for scientist to study . This has a light coating on it.
